Phil is the founder, exec. producer and director of Roundhead Creative Group, which for more than 25 years has provided on-air promotions and marketing services to Showtime Networks, ABC, CBS, NBC Universal, AMC, PBS, Sotheby’s, SiriusXM, LG Electronics and Time Inc., along with an array of additional clients. As an Emmy Award winning director, Phil’s credits include NBC’s Olympics, ABC’s “The View,” and live programming for Lincoln Center. He has produced TV series and network specials for CBS Sports, Music Programs for PBS travel and entertainment and more. Phil and his team helped launch the Smithsonian Channel, and in 2015 Phil took on the additional role as creative director for on-air promotions at EDAN, the African television network distributed by Canal+ to 24 French-speaking countries.
Mike is one of television’s best-known integrated marketing and brand development executives. For more than 12 years, the Emmy Award winner was the head of marketing and promotion for A&E Networks, where he helped launch the History Channel and its expansion abroad into Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. In 2014 he led another launch as the head of programming and marketing for EDAN, a television network distributed by Canal+ to 24 countries in French-speaking Africa. Now in its second year, EDAN’s programming line-up, including the hit series “Empire,” continues to lead all competitors in western Africa. Mike began his career at NBC, where he rose to become the head of marketing and advertising, and where he was credited with the development of the NBC Peacock, one of television’s most iconic logos.
David L. Smith
David is a career media and business development executive with extensive experience in launching and managing media and telecommunications businesses. He is the co-founder and former president of The Newborn Channel, NBC Universal’s advertiser-supported hospital television network. At Deloitte Consulting he specialized in advising businesses—including NPR, Sprint and AMC—on strategy and operations. In 2014 he became the operations head for programming and marketing at EDAN, the African satellite television network seen in 24 French-speaking countries. Smith began his career at NBC and MGM, and subsequently managed business units for consumer and business products and services at Mediacom, Charter Communications, and Optimum/Cablevision.
